Heritage Pine Flooring
Key things to watch for when buying flooring:

When buying Red Pine flooring be sure to know the answers to three key questions before finalizing a purchase:
  • Is the flooring dried between 6 to 8% moisture content?
  • Has the flooring been machined with relief grooves on the reverse side of the boards (Allows for less warpage and allowing needed air between the flooring and subfloor)?
  • Does the flooring have a nail groove machined along the side of the tongue (Allowing the floor to contract and expand with the seasons without splitting the tongue off - the biggest cause of squeaking floors)?
If the answer to question 2 and 3 are no, then it is not flooring - it is panelling and was not made to be flooring. Heritage Pine proudly answers yes to all these questions and meets criteria needed to be a true wood floor. Every piece of our flooring is made specifically to meet The National Wood Flooring Association.

About Us and Our Pine

A licensed lumber inspector with over 20 years of pine flooring experience, Chris Lawrence, takes great pride in manufacturing and selling high quality pine products directly to you, the customer with no middleman. All custom made products are produced at our on-site sawmill and moulding plant.

Heritage Pine harvests only naturally grown Red Pine that grow among other species of trees. Unlike many Red Pine plantations, we selectively cut only the large mature trees averaging around 100 years old and 36 inches in diameter.

Red Pine is the hardest pine grown - even more so than most popular hardwoods. Due to its high sap content, when properly dried the sap crystalizes and creates a very hard and durable surface that is very easy to sand.

Red Pine can be stained to match any decor. We have personally stained this material more than 80 different shades - each time producing a beautiful finished wood. Not easy to do with a yellow pine!

Heritage Pine prides itself on guaranteeing top quality at the best possible price. Shop with us, we're sure you'll agree.
